Senior Fleet & Transport Supervisor (Thilawa Office)
Job Description
• Supervise and manage supervisor, Fleet Admin, Drivers, Helpers, and outsourced drivers/helpers.
• Conduct daily operational truck inspections and report defects to the Maintenance Team for follow-up.
• Source, coordinate, verify, and maintain records for outsourced drivers and helpers.
• Monitor and maintain truck-related documents, including wheel tax, driving licenses, and other statutory documents.
• Handle transport incidents and accidents, including investigation, reporting, and follow-up.
• Supervise cargo loading and unloading activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Prepare and submit daily operational reports to the Transport Manager.
• Monitor driver behavior using GPS, Dashcam, fuel sensor, and fuel monitoring systems.
• Monitor fuel consumption, excessive idling, fuel theft, and investigate abnormal fuel usage.
• Control unnecessary truck stoppages, unauthorized route deviations, and operational delays.
• Plan and coordinate daily trucking schedules, allocate company-owned and outsourced trucks, assign drivers/helpers, and ensure on-time dispatch and arrival at customer sites.
• Monitor drivers' return trips after completing deliveries to minimize unnecessary delays and truck idle time.
• Handle truck handover and receiving processes when drivers join, transfer, or resign.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team regarding preventive maintenance activities and truck downtime.
• Maintain and update fleet databases, vehicle records, and operational documentation.
• Drive company trucks within the SEZ and customer sites when operationally required.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, transport procedures, and driver discipline.
• Support driver induction, training, coaching, and performance improvement.
• Maintain high customer service standards by minimizing delivery delays and preventing customer complaints.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet/transport operations, preferably in a 3PL or logistics company.
• Previous supervisory experience managing drivers, helpers, and fleet/transport staff.
• Strong knowledge of fleet operations, truck dispatching, route planning, and driver management.
• Experience with GPS, Dashcam, fuel monitoring systems, and fleet management systems.
• Good understanding of vehicle documentation, road safety, and transport-related regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and incident/accident handling skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple trucks and drivers simultaneously.
