Contract Logistics Team Lead
Strategic Account Management
• Oversee large-scale tender preparation and submission processes.
• Manage relationships with government agencies, multinational corporations, and major
enterprises.
• Lead complex contract negotiations for multi-million dollar logistics agreements.
• Coordinate with legal, operations, and finance teams for comprehensive proposal development.
• Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key enterprise clients.
Tender Management Excellence
• Establish and maintain tender tracking systems and competitive intelligence.
• Ensure compliance with formal procurement processes and requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing winning proposals.
• Manage relationships with government officials and procurement departments.
• Analyze win/loss outcomes and implement lessons learned.
Business Development
• Identify and pursue large-scale logistics opportunities (>$300K annually).
• Develop solutions for complex, multi-modal transportation requirements.
• Build relationships with international development organizations and major contractors.
• Represent company at industry events and government procurement forums.
Relationship-Based Sales Management
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with small to medium enterprise clients.
• Drive new business acquisition through networking and referral generation.
• Manage a portfolio of 100+ active client accounts.
• Implement account development strategies to increase wallet share.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Operational Sales Excellence
• Oversee rapid quote generation and competitive pricing strategies.
• Manage spot business and short-term contract opportunities.
• Coordinate with operations for efficient service delivery.
• Handle customer complaints and service recovery initiatives.
• Develop standard service packages for common client requirements.
Market Development
• Identify emerging market segments and opportunities.
• Build partnerships with local business associations and trade groups.
• Develop marketing initiatives to attract new clients.
• Monitor local market trends and competitive positioning.
Job Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in logistics, contract logistics, or tender management, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations, contract management, and tender/bidding processes.
• Proven experience in handling large clients and managing key accounts.
• Strong ability in customer relationship management and stakeholder handling.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team, coordinate cross-functional departments, and drive results.
• Capable of managing multiple projects, tenders, and client requirements simultaneously.
• Strategic thinking with strong decision-making ability.
• English Language must be fluent.
